Have you ever wondered what it takes to get into the real estate business and to be successful at it? I get that question several times a week. After 30 years in the business and after hiring more than 500 people to get into the real estate business or help them join my branch I think I have it pretty well figured out.
The first step is to sign up for an online class or live instruction for a Washington State approved pre-licensing course for real estate. At Coldwell Banker Bain we have a live instruction class offered in the Spring and Fall and recommend The Rockwell Institute for online studies. Both of these fulfill the state requirement of 90 hours of studies and we have a discount link for those that want the online classes, just ask, no obligation!
Once your studies are complete you will be given directions on how to sign up for and take the test. The testing centers are H and R Block offices. You will be given 3 hours to complete the multiple choice test and you have to pass by 70%. Once you pass you will be given some paperwork that you take to the brokerage you have chosen to work with and they will assist you in getting all signed up with the Department of Licensing, the Northwest Multiple Listing Service and the Association of Realtors.
I personally manage the three offices for Coldwell Banker Bain in Tacoma in University Place, Point Ruston, and The Proctor District. The three best walkable neighborhoods in Tacoma and I also manage the Coldwell Banker Bain office in Puyallup.
New brokers for my branches get a substantial amount of new agent training from me and my team personally, weekly. The mentorship from our team includes business planning, understanding contracts, working with buyers and sellers and also our company tools. Our agents get all of their continuing clock hour education for FREE which also includes our Coldwell Banker Bain FastStart which really helps our brokers get up and running quickly and closing deals. Brokers at Coldwell Banker Bain get all of the other training required to renew their license including Real Estate Law and Advanced Real Estate Practices, all for FREE!
So the big question is always, “Where am I going to get my business from?” We show you how to build the foundation for your successful real estate career, how to do an awesome open house and we also provide floor time opportunities for our agents to assist buyers and sellers calling in from this Real Estate Guide, signs, and advertising.
With a nationally recognized brand, and also being Coldwell Banker’s largest franchise in the world with 32 offices from Bellingham to Oregon City we won’t let you fail.
