Broker Spotlight: Kristina K Loper

Growing up in the Northwest, I have always seen Coldwell Banker as the local name for real estate.  When it was time to choose a brokerage, it was clear that the “local” company was an international company with decades of experience was the best fit for me.  With constant training, exclusive resources, and knowing I can consult with hundreds of years of experience in my office when there’s an unusual situation means I can confidently serve my clients in a way that no other brokerage can offer.

I’m in my third year as a licensed broker.  I bring 25 years of non-profit experience in health education, an Information Systems degree, and community coordination to my transactions.  It helps me consider the larger picture in negotiations, strategize, and embrace new, innovative technologies and marketing tools to best serve my clients.

As a kid, I enjoyed reading the comics and then looking at the housing ads in the Sunday paper.  When it was time for me to return to the workforce after a few years as a stay-at-home mom, I knew the magnetic pull towards real estate was pretty much the only option for me.  Each day keeps me on my toes.  I enjoy mixing the opportunity to meet new people with looking at architecture, problem-solving and creatively helping people move to the next stage in their life.  Adding to that, being a Realtor important to me because it means I am telling my clients I am committed to a higher standard for everyone that I serve.

As a parent, my kiddos are the ones that motivate me to get out of bed in the morning, followed by the opportunity to help a neighbor feel more confident in their situation.  Real Estate can be intimidating to many people and the need to learn about it often comes at a time when there’s a time crunch or difficult changes in circumstances.  I aim to help my clients feel confident about their options and know there is someone alongside them to just offering a casual Lunch with a Realtor so they can just talk through their situation and figure out what the best next steps are for them.

Broker Spotlight: Leslie Swindahl

CaptureI chose to be a REALTOR® because this career allowed me to set my own destiny.  The possibilities are endless when you are a REALTOR®.  Some people are happy selling 3 houses a year, others are happy selling 50 houses a year. So yes, it is a good life which is why I have been a REALTOR® for 19+ years. I really cannot imagine myself doing anything else.

The reason I have been with Coldwell Banker Bain for so many years is because the education they provide is superb and this is the only company that provides the Real Estate Guide insert that goes into the Saturday Tacoma News Tribune.

Before that, I was an Office Administrator for Chassis Components, a race car shop.  As owners of the shop, my husband and I facilitated the building of the race cars, and I helped create the manual for the crew.

When I’m not helping my sellers or buyers, I love to garden.  I enjoy planting new flowers and watch them come back up again next year. I also volunteer at a retirement center, taking seniors to their doctor appointments and to the grocery store so they don’t have to pay for public transportation.

I find that going into the office every day and feeling the energizing atmosphere is the greatest motivation that keeps me on the move.  It really motivates me to help my clients buy and sell their homes!

Broker Spotlight: Emily Hasenleder

As many probably say, I chose Coldwell Banker Bain after talking with Tasha. After meeting her, I had this gut feeling that this is where I am supposed to be, and now that I am here, I cannot imagine being anywhere else. Just the people alone are amazing, but then you put us all working for the same great company and it becomes home.

I am just starting in Real Estate; I’ve been a stay at home mom the last 3.5 years, so I think it goes without saying that I am ready for a change! Previous to meeting my husband and having my daughter, I was going to school, gearing up to start my own photography business, while working two other independent jobs. After having my daughter, staying home with her was the best option for our family, but now things have changed a bit to where I am able to pursue a career.Capture

After talking with a few friends that had recently started in the Real Estate business, and hearing that they love it, and the flexibility it offers, becoming a Realtor sort of became a no-brainer for me. I’ve always enjoyed looking at homes for sale (and just in general), and so getting to take that and help people at the same time, while earning money, it’s like a dream come true! Plus my husband helped encouraged me to do it, he thought it would be a good fit, not only for me but our family (and I agreed).

When I am not working, I am at my first home, spending time with my family. Most of the time that means just taking care of my daughter and doing house chores, but when my husband is home it means trying to spend some quality time together, and with extended family. In my spare time though, I like to practice photography, but that doesn’t happen very often.

I look forward to the opportunity to help a variety of people find new homes, and I’m sure that will soon become the only motivation I need.

Broker Spotlight: Carol Goforth

Capture.PNGThe reason I chose Coldwell Banker Bain is due to the knowledge and expertise of the Principal Managing Broker as well as the agents in the office. I also hope to have more IT support than I’ve had in the past at another brokerage.

When I’m not helping my clients, I like to volunteer to support “my Tacoma”.  I am so glad I live in this town. I love the diversity of neighborhoods, the architecture, and the people.

I’ve had my real estate license for 20 years, working with buyers and sellers. The reason I chose to be a REALTOR® was because I had a background of buying and selling real estate as an investor, and I wanted to share my knowledge with others.  Since I was new to Tacoma when I earned my license, I often worked with first time home buyers and still love working with them to find their perfect first home.

Here’s something about me that has surprised even my long time friends and family: I am total “un”-athletic person but have worked out with the same trainer for almost 11 years.

Broker Spotlight: Mary Klein

I chose Coldwell Banker Bain for the training and support that they give their agent/brokers. When helping Clients find their new home as Buyers or Selling their home, I know I have the support of Coldwell Banker Bain behind me. I also chose to work here because I wanted to work for and represent a company that has an outstanding reputation not just in the Puget Sound Area but worldwide.

CaptureI got into Real estate this past year. I was in Retail middle management as a District Manager for 32 of a 37-year career. Over that period, I traveled weekly all over Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Northern California. In Districts that were from 18
stores to 30 stores. Ensuring my store were managed to the company’s expectations and our customers were delivered a great shopping experience every time they shopped with us. I decided to change careers because I had always wanted to own my own business and real estate gives me that opportunity. And being close to my daughter and grandson is an added bonus.

Being a Realtor was something I had always wanted to do. My Great -Grandfather and Grandfather both built Craftsman and Custom homes. And my step-father is a custom cabinet builder. So being around homes was an easy step for me to make. I love to see the excitement in a client’s eye when they know they have stepped into a house that they know they can make their home. I love houses and what they represent to people. A place to love, security and an investment in their future.

I am a writer. I write under a pen name. I just published a little book of Poetry called Awakened by my Angels. I do not think about a poem. I just hear the words and the poetry flows. That is the only way I know how to explain my writing.  And when I’m not writing, I like to spend time with my grandson who will be 2 this July.  Spending time with this curious little boy brings much joy to my life.

Broker Spotlight: Andrea Agostinacci

Our Broker Spotlight this week features Andrea Agostinacci:

I chose Coldwell Banker Bain because of the well-known reputation and knowledge in the real estate industry and specifically the office atmosphere. Coldwell Banker Bain fosters agent cohesiveness and truly lives their mission statement of people helping people, both with clients and other agents alikAndreae.

When I am not helping clients, I am spending time with my family. I am a mom to 5 children in a blended family so whether I am going to the park, helping out at girl scouts, going to sports practice, or staying in having a movie night – we are always up to something! If I’m not spending time with my family I enjoy hiking and being outdoors or going to the spa to relax.

I have been in real estate for 12 years in different capacities, including property management and finance. I have a background in management and have a passion for developing people. Over the last 10 years, I have done real estate part-time and am looking forward to the switch as my full-time career.

I grew up on a job site, my father is a builder and has owned his own construction company for many years. I remember as a child all I wanted was a real tool belt for Christmas, and it was the best gift ever! I chose real estate as my profession because I have had a fascination for all things real estate; whether getting down in dirty in a full-on renovation, or watching before and after design ideas, or helping with an investor to make the most out of their money.
